Workshop to launch the 2022-2026 program of Via Don Bosco

In order to lead a dignified life and to have sufficient knowledge to participate in the construction of a sustainable future, it is important that young people can develop, both professionally and socially, in the community of which they are a part. This is the great change that Via Don Bosco and the Salesians are aiming for with this new program that will extend over a period of five (5) years, that is 2022-2026. In order to integrate socially and professionally in society, young people must have the opportunity to acquire the necessary skills. These opportunities can be achieved through access to quality and comprehensive training, where each young person is entitled to good supervision and pedagogical support.

To be able to offer quality and integral vocational training, training centers are needed that can guarantee training that is adapted to the world of work on the one hand and to the young people on the other. It is in this perspective that VIA Don Bosco concludes partnerships with 3 types of actors: Planning and Development Office (BPD), Employment Office (BDE) and Vocational Training Center (CFP) that collaborate like three cogs and reinforce each other with the aim of offering quality training and services to the youth. Via Don Bosco assumes that the harmonious combination of these three (3) actors and their collaboration are sufficiently effective to achieve the final objective of the program which is the placement of youth in the labor market (employment and self-employment).

For a better planning and an effective and efficient implementation of this new program, a workshop was held from June 12 to 17, 2022 at the provincial house of the Salesians. The 2022-2026 program was officially launched and the partners' capacities were strengthened in terms of team building and communication through a team building workshop on Sunday June 12. And, throughout the week, key elements of the program were reviewed to ensure that all key actors master the program.

Specifically, we reviewed with the partners
